Our article published in Antiviral Research shows that PBMCs of HIV-patients display increased expression of general inflammatory genes, some of which are related to certain demographical, biochemical and immunological parameters. Expression of the senescence-associated genes TP53, SERPINE1, IGFBP3 is diminished in patients on NNRTI-containing therapies. These findings help to better understand the development of aging-associated comorbidities and decreased longevity in HIV-patients.
