Description:This line of research explores the molecular and cellular mechanisms that determine the onset, progression, and therapeutic resistance of digestive tumors. We study how the interplay between metabolism, epigenetics, aging, and the tumor microenvironment influences the biology of colorectal and liver cancer. Through multidisciplinary approaches and high-resolution technologies— e.g., spatial and single-cell transcriptomics, metabolomic analysis, and exosome characterization—we aim to decipher the “hidden language” of tumor cells in order to identify new diagnostic and therapeutic opportunities. Our goal is to bring translational research closer to a more precise, personalized, and effective medicine for patients of all ages.
