Who has recently returned from a 3-month stay at ETH Zurich in the laboratory of Prof. Cornelia Halin Winter (Department of Chemistry and Applied Biosciences, Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences). Mariam has been investigating the functional relevance of neutrophil extracellular traps on neutrophil entry into lymph nodes and their effects on adaptive immune response. Mariam Blanch awarded the EMBO Scientific Exchange Grant

Our postgraduate researcher Mariam Blanch has been awarded the EMBO Scientific Exchange Grant to carry out a research stay in the laboratory of Dr. Clare Pridans, at the Centre for Inflammation Research, University of Edinburgh. Mariam will participate in the project “Development of a monocytopenic model testing different CSF1R inhibitors to study the physiology of thrombus formation”.
