Research Line
The selected candidate will join the Digestive and Inflammatory Pharmacology Unit of the Department of Pharmacology, Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry, University of Valencia, within the research line led by Prof. Ángeles Álvarez Ribelles and Dr. Víctor Collado Díaz.
Our research focuses on the study of novel biomarkers and potential therapeutic targets in cardiac fibrosis and heart failure, using in vitro and in vivo models, as well as patient samples. Techniques to be used include real-time PCR, flow cytometry, proteomics (multiplex ELISA), and RNA sequencing (RNA-seq).
Candidate Profile
- PhD in Health Sciences (awarded from 2022 onwards).
- Competitive CV:
- Publications within the last five years as first and/or corresponding author in first-quartile/first-decile journals (Journal Citation Reports).
- Participation in research projects and postgraduate training.
- Candidates wishing to join the same R&D center where they completed their predoctoral training must have carried out postdoctoral stays in other R&D centers for at least 12 months.
- Applicants must not currently hold a Sara Borrell contract, nor have previously completed one.
