The research group led by Dr. Juan V. Esplugues at the Department of Pharmacology, Faculty of Medicine, University of Valencia, is looking for candidates for a scholarship to initiate a career in research. The scholarship will last at least one year, beginning 1st September 2018. The amount paid by this scholarship is in line with those of national public calls for PhD scholarships and is designed to provide support to the young researcher while he/she applies to publicly funded calls.
Our group has a long history of training PhD students with public funding (3 VAL i+d, 5 FPU, 2 FPI, 1 PFIS and 1 Atracció de Talent in the last 5 years), 10 of whom have been awarded the University of Valencia’s Best Thesis Award.
Requirements:
- Candidates should be in the last year of a degree or master in the field of medical sciences, and have an average mark of 8.5 or above.
- The chosen candidate will join the line of research about non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NASH) and the effects of antiretroviral therapy on said pathology.
